We have an opening for a Candy Maker position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth.
A Candy Maker at our candy factory is a vital member of our Kitchen Team, the Candy Maker assists in the creation of our famous confections.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Manually transferring cooled caramel tubs weighing approximately 50 lbs.
each repeatedly to production line; Cleaning and sanitizing the equipment used to make candy; Starting and continuing the production line using established guidelines; Quality control of caramel squares on production line to check for weight & uniformity Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies Tracking inventory using ERP system; Maintain clean and safe work area Preform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma/GED; Self-directed; Ability to work well with peers and supervisors; Attention to detail; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production lines running efficiently.
Physical Requirements Standing for 8-10 hours; Walking up and down stairs; Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently; Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.
Afternoons 3pm to 11pm shift Monday through Friday.
Qualified candidates must be willing and able to work daily overtime as well as weekends as needed.
The starting pay rate is $18.
00 per hour plus $1.
00 shift premium for afternoons.
